If you can cast into the other boat....yeah that's to close.
If you are sitting on a herd of crappie and slinging the do dah out of them and another boat approaches you , how close is too close for them be pitching a jig ?
a boat length , 2 boat lengths ,3 boat lengths or farther ?
interesting scenario , it happens often that we are just creating a fresh water flying/frying fish episode and it seems to attract other crappie anglers like a magnet to us at times .
so at what point is it considered in "my" space / bubble is my question ......?
just wondering what everyone thinks about it .

About 50 yds. is as close as I will get
Way too close and of course rude. If someone is in a spot I want to fish I just move on and come back later.

It really depends on if I know them. I’ve shared an area with up to five boats in forty yard space. Every one was catching fish from the same school. Other time, we were hooked up to a sunkin bridge and a boat got so close that he banged into my trolling motor. Got a little ugly out there that day. I had to buy myself a new paddle when I left the lake. Broke the old one when I hit his trolling motor in return. That was back in my drinking days tho. I wouldn’t do that nowadays.
Agree with all others. The other boat should not be able to fish the same hole, unless they are invited. They can come back and fish it when I'm done. I'm like Buckeye - if there is a boat in my hole, I'll come back when they are done. It's just fishing curtesy, and it should be followed.
