    I can see the places I have been on the mapping chart. I need to upgrade electronics when I decide which direction I am going with the boat

    that is a very common practice among the "elite" anglers in this area ,see it all the time ,,,,it is what it is I suppose
    among those that fancy themselves to be "great" crappie anglers are quite a few that do things like this .....
    with todays units you don't even need to be close to someone to mark their spot ,watch them do it from afar as they slow down when they pass .....

    I also get a lot of side scanners doing this to me. They think I don’t know what they’re doing but I always ask them did they get it. Some will tell the truth. Some will act dumb. I’m glad I have over two hundred spots marked on my gps to go to. They don’t all hold fish and some are so old they deteriorated but I can always find some biting.

    hear tell some of them there professional folks have units set up well enough to mark off to the side on the fly ....
