What size braid is needed to show up? I assume bigger diameter shows up better, but what is enough? Also, do you use a mono/Flouro leader for stealth?

Finding something worth pitching it to.... well....
I've tried looking out 30-40 ft and then moving up and fishing at about 20-25. At 20-25, I have a hard time seeing a 1/16oz jig and thats why im' asking all these questions/wanting to try other tricks.

The "trick" is getting the jig to land/fall in the LS ping cone ... then keeping the trolling motor or tdx pole pointing towards your target. This usually requires boat control & trolling motor control, so as to keep everything aligned within the cone (fish/cover/jig).

I tie my weight 12-14” above jig. I use 10lb white K9 braid. Also have some 20lb power pro yellow and it doesn’t show any better than the 10lb or at least I can’t tell.

Reminds me of a story a buddy of mine told me : He fishes a double jig rig & his fishing buddy just uses minner/float rig. Buddy kept getting bites, but couldn't stick'em. My buddy, after having a good laugh (watching what was happening on his Livescope), told him that the fish weren't biting his minner .... they were biting his sinker !!

For years spider riggers used long lead weights and Crappie were bad about hitting those .
