My bite has been in micro baits as of late..... Haven't used anything bigger than 2" in a while..... There are some smaller creature baits out there but size would definitely have to be considered.....

Same here. Micro baits seem to be working better and easier to entice them.

Here are some of my favorite creature baits that have caught plenty of Crappie in small waters and big lakes. The Nikko Pinworm is also a Crappie catcher….in both white and Green. Downsizing late in the Summer and Early Fall always puts a few more fish in the boat for me. Matching the Hatch as our old Buddy Ketchn says!

I've used the Southern Pro Crappie Craw 1.5" (pumpkin pepper/orange claws) before, with decent success.

I have used the little trout magnet crawfish . I was after gills and found the crappie up shallow. They wore that thing out

Those are Creek Bugs from NRV Baits, a guy who fishes up in the area of VA where my daughter lives. Tried to arrange the baits for size references.
