I have only used it the shoot with. 2 pound diameter braid and a 1/32 jig head. I can get about 3/4 of the way under the pontoon boats.
A lot of times they are holding close to the toons hiding put in the shade.

Get or make a cart for the cooler, so you don't have to carry it. Sounds like you need more helpers, in keeping the pond in check.

it gives me fits with 6 lb mono sometimes , but it is compact and feels pretty nice in hand , a bit short on the rod butt ....
if it had larger eyelets and a longer rod butt it would really be a sweet thing .
sometimes in the heat of the moment my presentation wishes change up .

I do prefer a longer rod when casting.

it is a really nice body of water , likely the best crappie location for non stop bites in all my travels
seeing a few of the larger fish makes me think it probably harbors some spots in that lake that hold some real brutes .
told H ,we will probably see some well over 3 in the future if my luck on invites continues

When I night fished off the bank a fella ended up carrying a lot of stuff. Cooler, lantern and tripod, minnow bucket, tackle and rods. Felt like a pack mule getting that stuff into place
