That is my thinking as using it for catfish. Although it has a bass jumping on the box like they marketed it to the bass fishermen

I have one of those put up in my shop. Not in anywhere close to that good of shape. But a very fine casting reel from that era. Very smooth also. Put it right there with my old ABU’s.

It has some wear on the top edges and under the button. Should have a pretty decent drag also
