Hopefully you will be the person that lands that record crappie. You have to figure they’re in there.

was my thoughts as well when he told about his lake , but after 3 visits , it seems to be more of just to many of one age class , there seems to be tons of 1.5 year old fish in there and not many younger fish of any species , probably getting getting ate up is my bet .
the larger crappie in there seem to be in pretty good shape and so do the average size crappie in there .
don't seem to be seeing many with the "bighead" syndrome and or big eyed , little body in proportion to head thing you typically see in stunted situations .
he mentioned yesterday AGAIN ,2 crappie caught that were over 4 lbs THIS year and released ,told me yet again to keep the next one for him to get it mounted " when" I ketch it ....
and he isn't lacking knowledge about his lake or his fish for sure and knows full well both of them were approaching world record status .....
I told him that both that size would be private water body record fish in Texas ...btw
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
Hopefully you will be the person that lands that record crappie. You have to figure they’re in there.
