    Default Bimini Tops

Does anyone have a Bimini Top
Does it get in the way when you catch a fish?

I have an 1860 G3, I added a Bimini to it earlier this year and it has been a wonderful addition. I put a 8' 4 bow top on it. It covers from the back of my front deck, all the way to the rear bench. I order it off Amazon. It hasn't interfered with the fishability. We have been using it while crappie, bluegill, and catfishing trips.Name: PXL_20210618_182514540.jpg

If you cast and retrieve it will get in your way. I have had one for about 5 years. While I do not fish in the heat as much as I did I will put it up just to get some breaks in the shade then put it back down. It’s very easy to let up and down. I take it off the boat Fall-Winter.

    Regards

Wont have a boat without a bimini top. I can also slide it back a bit and put the rest of the full enclosure on it for winter.Name: newboat.jpg

they can be bothersome for sure , but they are worth their weight in gold when the sun is relentless .
my bud has one and sometimes when setting the hook and landing a fish the reduced "swing" room can be an issue .
one thing for certain though , it is a small price to pay when its midafternoon and the sun will cook an egg on the deck .

Looks like a real nice setup, woodchuck. Good family times and fishing adventures.

We just got this boat this spring, and have really enjoyed it. The kids have enjoyed tubing, and swimming from it. Thanks

I have one on my boat that my wonderful wife bought for my birthday a couple of years ago. We use it intermittently but especially if we have a grandkid with us. I’m about 6’3” tall and my concern was making sure I could comfortably stand. It covers roughly 1/2 the length of my 20ft center console aluminum boat. We fish primarily off the front deck with double seats and have an umbrella from millennium that works fantastic also.
