Any cure for mice cutting fuse box wires?

Wire manufactures use a soy bean dirivitive to make the wire coverings. That's why mice and rats love wires. I don't know if anyone has a 100% cure. Farmers have been fighting this problem for years.

rats and squirrels make the chewed up wiring problems seem a good bit worse in comparison to mice ...
my bud had squirrels in his boat a year ago that hurt the wiring right well up under the console .
