That is good stuff
In June I posted the method for making a jig head weedless using a saltwater brand wire. I also posted the wire leader that was even thinner to make the jig pickerel-proof. Yesterday I was making more weedless jigs but wondered would the wire bend enough to expose the hook point on the strike.
This wire used for the leader initially turned out to be better: less rigid and easier to install:
It has just the right amount of spring that depresses when fish strike yet protect the hook from snagging. Can't wait to post photos of fish caught on different weedless hook sizes using this wire. The proof is in the catching!

As always, thanks for a great tip and product to look at.

How do you add it to your jigs?

Before I go into the process of adding the wire, just let me say, the light-wire weed guard jig worked great!!
Pulled the jig off the pad tops and BANG! fish on!
When the wire gets bent up, I just straighten it with pliers.
1.bend the wire:
2.put each wire end through the line tie from opposite directions:
3.bend the loop and give it enough length so that the loop goes just beyond the hook point:
4. and then wrap each end around the hook shank as close to the head as possible:
5. clip short with wire cutters
You can bend the wire down to test spring pressure and make sure the wire protects the point from snags. The wire should be straight when fishing the jig.
Note: the thinner wire shown allows for an easier passage of line through the eye.
