embellish though , so it might or might not be an exact number
Bobby Garland was on the menu a bit and sure enough got bit . Fish were in short water again , managed some at every stop . Fish were ketched and released , one warmouth got in on the buffet and the rest were white crappie .
We shared some spots and cruised around and enjoyed slinging a few here and there . My boat captain was my long time good friend ,that has hit the crappie with me countless times over the years . He was the original reason this all began , he and I decided some 10 years or so ago we wanted to be able to roll up to any lake anywhere and ketch a crappie dinner any time of the year .
So for about 2 years we traveled far and wide ,year round in all kinds of conditions . We learned and learned and had lots of fun doing it . He and I don't get to hit them much anymore , he lives down on the border now . one or 2 times a year nowadays is about as often as we can make the stars line up .
Fast forward to yesterday , he said he was going to hit a like we like and asked if I wanted to tag along , told him not sure ....
woke up ,whispered in my lady's ear and she said I don't care .....gone in less than a minute was me
probably managed around 50 in 2 hours in water depths ranging from around 3 to 4 foot deep all the way out to around 9 . he pretty much is the king of the road runner pitch and drag and often ketches bigger crappie than i do , but in the end i typically hammer his numbers right to death
then home went me to eat ice cream for lunch and burn pork chops for dinner
was a nice day to play , did not get really warn until after I hit the trail .
