My buddy owns a dealership that sells Bass Cats, Bennington pontoons, and Crestliner boats.
I commented on the price he had displayed on the board for a top of the line Bass Cat.
His response was “ I wouldn’t even have to show that””all they want to know is, “what is it going to cost me a month”.
I guess it’s the Only Live Once attitude people refer to.
Definitely not the way I was raised.
    “But I’m old” LOL

A local boat dealer does not even show total price; the only price shown is the monthly note. This is the tactic used to sell used cars, typically, to lower educated people. So, now, maybe this means the populace is getting dumber.

you know fellas some folks make up for things that count by getting a bigger faster truck or boat or car
I went one time to visit a doctor who was about 5 foot tall ....I had to wait on him ....gone to lunch he was ....
this monster big red 4 door 4x4 truck fully loaded and jacked up with big mudder tires on million dollar rims showed up in the parking lot .
it was obvious it had never left the pavement and never would ....
thank goodness it also had them steps on the side ....
mister doc had to use them to climb out of that beast
