Daiwas are really good.
What is one? I have a Pfleuger President, I think it is a 6920 model and I think it is a good reel and it was about $60. I don't see that model anymore, I see PRESSP20X model under the President moniker.
I want another spinning reel. This is for lightweight stuff, mostly panfish or maybe even all panfish but I fish for bass and have plenty of other rigs, but it would be nice if it could also be used for light bass fishing. If it's only good for panfish, that is fine.
In the Pfleuger lineup, I see:
President, $50
President XT, $80+
Patriarch, $200+
The Patriarch, at $200+, my assumption is that I probably couldn't tell the difference but I am speaking without experience with it. The President XT is a little lighter than the President, has more bearings.
What do you think is a good, light reel? It doesn't have to be Pfleuger, I have a Shimano Stradic for bass that I like. But it's not inexpensive; I think I paid over $200 a few years back.

Daiwas are really good.
The pressb20 is very nice. The only thing I would caution you about is that is about a 500 or maybe 750 size, so smaller spool=more line twist.
I love the Daiwa Regal LT 1000, but it holds way more 4# line than I will ever need. I wish it came with a shallow spool.

I just got a Shimano Sedona 500, I do wish it had a larger diameter spool, but so far with nylon has been fine. a nice reel for about 70, more or less. The Pflueger 20 press20 is a real nice reel for the money, but out of stock right now or way overpriced on the net. I got the 500 size for the lighter weight, but next time a 1000.

Shimano Sedona 1000, They are great.
That’s the one I should have bought, but I wanted the 6.3oz because I knew it would balance well on my TSS or 632 Luna. To get a light 1000 at good quality you have to lay out some bucks. There is one configuration listed by Shimano that I’m not sure is offered in the US. This is a 500 size “C” ( for compact) that if I read it right is a 1000 spool on a 500 body. I would buy that in a heartbeat. Probably not even available anymore.
