Default 14 foot jig pole options

Since I've added Livescope to my boat. Ive discovered my 12 foot Sam Heaton Super Sensitive is no longer adequate.
IE I need a longer pole. Any suggestions? I'd like to get a Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 14 foot rod or equivalent. Any suggestions?

Why do you feel it's inadequate ?? I'm using a 12' BGJP and find it "adequate", if not a bit on the heavy side. (granted, I am "old" and not as strong/fit as I used to be) My buddy & LS mentor, slabeye, uses a 12' rear seat BnM rod, and is the main reason I have a 12' rod to use with my LS. Although, I started LS fishing with him using a 10' SH rod & did my fair share of damage with it.

I use one of these 14ft with the handle cut down 6 inches for targeting fish in structure, I don't Livescope but when you need the reach and the fast action backbone to lift a fish to the surface this rod is fantastic. The Tree Thumper action but in a 13 1/2 inch rod. Super sensitivity for such a big jig pole. I do change the tip tops out to Minima 4 guides with a #4 ring.

I'm just beginning to learn to use the livescope. One thing I noticed that at the slowest possible speed. I was spooking fish. The water was 7' deep and it was muddy. Thanks for your feedback.

I’ve got an 11 ft Sam and really like it for livescope lol. To each their own I guess! Maybe ACC Crappie Stix I know they have a 13

OK ... so by that am I to understand that you had that rod in a rod holder and think a longer rod would present your bait to the fish sooner than your 12' rod ?? Or were you holding the rod in hand & vertically presenting your bait ??

I "Flip" my jigs past the cover when using LS, sometimes from as far away as 20' and let them pendulum swing back to the cover ... letting out line or dropping the rod tip down to get the jigs to run right over the tops of the cover, or drop right down into the cover if the school is suspended down in it. I generally try not to get the front of the boat any closer than 10' from the cover I'm fishing, if possible.

I'll give another vote for the 14 ft Bn'M Bgjp,I have and use them in the 11,12 and 14 ft lengths with my Livescope.I will use the shortest possible, anc in some cases that 14 fter is a valuable tool to have for sure.

ACCCRAPPIESTIX has a couple that I own and like. 13 footers.
Very fast tip and plenty of backbone to swing 2 pounders in the boat. Only weigh a little over 5 oz.
check them out. Fast shipping. A little pricey but very well made and I feel like worth the money.
