Default It is NOT about SIZE ....

It is often said size matters ,AND sometimes it does for sure ....
but in the world of electronics ,not so much it seems to me ....
a small cheap graph and a simple bit of an educated guess or 3 ....
    and KABOOM is near ....
pretty sure in this image ...
bait on the left , crappie on 2 trees on the right and the wind direction was as shown .....
did it all work out as planned you might ask ....?
Si ,Oui and Yes ....and in mandarin its pronounced yehs.....
p.s. notice how the larger crappie are downwind of the smaller crappie ....
similar as you often see when they stack vertically under a bait ball ....
oh the little things that often matter dont ya know .......

I probably found and caught more fish on the small DI graph on the front of the old boat than I have with any of the newer stuff

Nice pic their Ketchn, I always enjoy seeing sonar images of suspended fish and objects, more you see, the more you learn.

As you get older, the size of the graph matters more. I have trouble seeing the details on the smaller screens nowadays.

Saw several piles like that last week but it was extremely hard to get them to bite. Which was why I saw several piles that looked like that. Fish are there but it's hard to find them hungry with all the bait fish around.

My new boat came with a 5" screen. It is almost impossible for me to see anything other than large brush piles and lay-downs. Can't see most stumps and only can see small dots as the fish.

Can't wait till I install a larger graph on the console. The 10" Garmin I had intended to install was stolen from one of my slip's lockers so I'm waiting for a good price for a replacement.
