    Mine is 50 ft.
Most ropes break because they are a combination of rotten and too short.

    Rope hooked on bow eye
Other end hooked to winch hook
Never had problem. I do check rope every launch.

20ft, one end tied to a cleat on the deck, the other has a carabiner.

I snap the carabiner into the stake pocket on my truck, coil the rope loosely on the deck. Drop the winch at the water line, back in, tap the brakes, boat floats right off. Hop out, grab the rope, tie off to the dock, gone. Takes no time at all.

It did get away from me once, ramp was super busy, rope came loose off of the cleat. Thankfully there was some kids swimming nearby that hooked my rope back up before it got too far away. I tie to that cleat with a knot now.

In really high water, I will tie to the bow eye instead, float the boat off, and pull the truck up slowly, pulling the boat along with it until it's beached.

Wow, my rope is at least 75', but is only 1/4". Lets me send the boat off the trailer and pull trailer out of the water onto ramp without pulling boat. I also have the tall guides with lights on top. My old 14' aluminum boat has never had a problem doing it this way. I think as long of a nylon rope and as small diameter as possible would work for all but the heaviest of vessels.

Rollers and a drotto boat latch. Get in the boat, pull the rope and slide off. When coming back in, pull up on trailer until you hear the latch lock. Then pull out and tie the boat down.

Not exactly sure on length of my rope but I'd guess less than 20ft. Tie one end of the rope to my Terrova & the other to the winch. Back up till the boat drops off of the trailer & pull forward enough to step between the truck & trailer and grab the rope.

Been doing it for years without issue.

Mine is 4ft, back it in close to the dock, float it to the nearest cleat, park the truck and gone, maybe two minutes.

That’s fine of you have a dock at the ramp. I fished Grenada for 30 years before I even saw a dock. Even now, there’s only one and it’s at the marina.
