Yea I already have my livescope on a different pole, I hated it on the TM. It was terrible trying to fish a brush top in the current or a crosswind and try to still see the pile, your bait, and hold your position.

Not linked as I dont troll or spider rig though my boats set up for it, I cast jigs or vertical jig 99 percent of the time.. only thing i did not like was difficulty raising and lowering, but the handle I put on it solved that issue... due a google search for xi5 lift handle mod or bicycle handle mod. Might even find it here n forum search.

I used and preferred Motor Guide trolling motors until I was forced to go to Mintoka two years ago when I upgraded to the HB Solix. I've had more problems with my Minn Kota Ultex in the two years I have owned it than I had with the Motor Guide trolling motors over the 40 years I owned them.

I have had mine for several years. I love it. there is a handle that is made for a bicycle that is cheap and makes
deploy and retrieve easy. Mine is linked to lowrance hds 3 , 9 in on bow and 12 in on console .
I have over 100 waypoints in my back yard ( Lake Palestine Tx) Most trips I will only pull the motor 3-4 times.
I will just run with TM down at idle speed from point to point.

some times it will " come unbuttoned " IE lose contact with satellite and drift off. Easy enough to reset.
I only use the hand held remote , never the foot petal.

95 % of my fishing is over brushpiles , so it works great for what I do,

I have thought about looking at the newer ones , but they cost twice as mush. I will stay with what I know.
If it broke tomorrow , I would buy the same model.

Thanks for the info, I went ahead and picked this one up. This one has a nice aftermarket anodized aluminum lift handle on it already. Hopefully it will be issue free.
