I got mine this week, the day after going to a Bass Pro. Man the stores have slid in quality. The fishing department was pretty well stocked but hunting, boots and anything but clothing was pretty barren. They did have three rows of plastic worms and lizards compared to two rows of crappie and panfish gear.

    Threw mine away too!!!
    I have papyrophobia. (Not really)

I just refuse to give Johnny Morris any more money unless there are no other options or need something in an emergency.

Sorry, not to offend any CDC members that may be Papyrophobiacs.
    Chuck.

I have a Bass Pro Shop 5 minutes from my front. Never needed a catalog because I seldom visit the store.

Wow.....I didnt mean to stir things up.

This was meant to be a positive post.

I remember back in middle school....several years ago....we would get one in the mail and I would love sitting down and look through it a dream about the big fish we might catch.

That’s all this was about. Sorry guys

The Bass Pro catalog along with Cabela's...and many other print media, helped me get through two decades of living in Saudi....1980-2001. I would literally scour every page in it. Would have my nephew back in the states order me hundreds of dollars worth of lures...line...to fish the Red Sea and Persian Gulf with. At the time it was a true blessing.

I too, would get excited when my Bass Pro "catalog" would arrive. It was more of a pamplet, 8 1/2 x 11 folded and stapled in the middle. Herter's catalog arrival was a big deal, too.

I get Bass Pro and Cabela's gift cards every year for Christmas and my birthday. One of my best buddies and I get each other $100 Bass Pro cards for our birthdays, which gives us a good excuse shop and break even. Rather than shop the catalog, I go online when they have lures on sale in winter & get more bang for my buck. I used to drive to the Charlotte Bass Pro, but they built one near Raleigh closer and a Cabela's in Garner, less than an hour from me.

Great for hunt/fish camp and also the library. Easier to hold than a phone and bigger print.
