I have seen them up to 2.5 inches but can't remember wear or the brand.
Couple questions about jig bodies...I searched but couldn't find anything, so apologies if this has been covered before.
I've been watching some YT videos. I have seen several times what look like Bobby Garland Baby Shad-style jig bodies but it looks like the tail is longer than the regular Baby Shads I use. Could just be my eyes tricking me, but wondering if anyone knows about a bait like this.
Also wondering about when to use a Baby Shad style bait versus something like the Strike King Mr. Crappie Joker (other than the obvious answer, let the fish tell you what they want LOL). Most of the time the Bobby Garland Baby Shad was my starting bait this past year, but it seemed like some days the Joker did better (comparing same colors in each).
I tried to figure out a pattern but never really landed on a conclusion. It seemed like maybe the smaller profile Baby Shad worked better in clearer water, high sun/no clouds, no wind, and the slightly larger profile Joker better in dirtier water, clouds or wind...but again I never made a definite conclusion.
thanks for your help!
EDIT: I remembered one of the videos specifically, it's this one: The EASIEST Way To Dial in Your Garmin Echomap 93SV UHD (w/ Livescope) - YouTube . I like the looks of those jig bodies he is using but don't recognize them.
