not sure how far south you need to go , but to be sure there are a few spots i would love to drop a jig in between here and there
if i recall i may have posted this earlier last year, but i sort of got bitten by crappie fishing, since the freeze is here in North east PA, curious where and how far i have to travel for some decent weather and good crappie fishing. hoping i can drive to my destination in a full day of driving 700 miles max. and find a place to stay for a few days.

Hiring a guide may be the most important thing, taking a lot of hit and miss out,and puts much of the responsibility, knowledge, and safety on the guides shoulders. Your chances for success go way up,may actually save money.

Chet, guys in Virginia seem to be catching some nice slabs. Go on their page and see, then ask some questions. Next would be North and South Carolina.
Not sure if South Carolina falls into your geographic travel range, but that’s where I’d be looking.
