    Black crappie, it has 7 dorsal fins from what I can see. Very nice fish!

    Couldn't count the fins, there appears to be faint traces of a white but not clear. The shape from the eyes to the fins look like a black I am like the others it is huge and you might catch another tomorrow but i doubt it. Put it on the wall,(If you don't already have one there).

    If it’s a lake where both white and black crappie exist in numbers it’s hard to say now a days and I don’t get caught up in it anymore. The hybrids I’ve run into here in Oklahoma have the big mouth like a white and pattern like a black.

    Hybrids normally have same quills as a black.

    why does the one fish have a sinker alligator clipped to its fin , just wondering ?
    to keep it upright in the livewell so it wouldnt die maybe ?

    The sinker is to keep them upright, in the livewell.
