the older i get the more i like standing on the bank and the docks
i ketch just as many most of the time
i dont have any depreciating assets to worry about
and i can charge my batteries with eggs my chickens lay everyday
but if someone wants to offer me a boat ride i still have a lifejacket and a little sea legs left in me for that just in case scenario

Yeah,fly rods are not good jigging poles. The whipping action you speak of is designed to cast the fky line in a certain manner

i know my friend , but so many folks swear by them
i used to fly fish a bunch as a kid , hook sets are way slow things with fly rods

Thanks for the report Ketchn! I will have to try that double jig rig there. How do you tie on the jigs to the main line? Are you using a small leader, or a knot? Couldn’t see it well when I zoomed in. Thanks friend.

I just tie regular old loop knots on braid , braid seems to be pretty durable tied up like that .
