Default PEOPLE DIED SO THAT YOU CAN FISH. Never forget Pearl Harbpr

Never forget what happened. People died so that you could fish for Crappie and even Bluegill, Bass, Perch, or other species like Catfish. and enjoy so many of our freedoms that we take for granted. Today is a day that shall forever live in infamy. Japan intended to destroy important American fleet units, thereby preventing the Pacific Fleet from interfering with Japanese conquest of the Dutch East Indies and Malaya and to enable Japan to conquer Southeast Asia without interference. National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, also referred to as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day or Pearl Harbor Day, is observed annually in the United States on December 7, to remember and honor those who died that day.

Those who forget the past will most likely repeat it. Please remember freedom is not free it , comes at the cost of men and women in the military willing to give their lives so we can enjoy freedom to fish, spend time with family and most of all worship and serve our Lord Jesus Christ!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Every day we lose so many more of the Greatest Generation. They grew up knowing sacrifice because of the Depression. They were unconditionally willing to write that check for their lives to defend our way of life.

While I was in quarantine for Covid positive, I took time to watch the entire "Band of Brothers" mini-series on DVD including the commentary after the series by the members of Easy Company. Sacrifice at its true meaning of sacrifice. I teared up several times!

As a young west coast sailor, we would stop at Pearl Harbor a tie up at Ford Island. We all had to man the rails in full dress uniform as we passed the Arizona memorial. I remember the feelings that came over me looking down at that great battleship just below the surface. As I served in the last great unpleasant war I wondered if we would be remembered as them. I am so grateful that our vets that served in Iraq and Afghanistan have been treaded with the dignity that they deserve.

We did some ceremonial flyovers of the Arizona and the Punchbowl.
People are forgetting the the day of infamy.
Most people have never heard of the punchbowl.
