    When I did my genealogy back a while I found that I had ancestors in every war this nation ever fought, even back to the French and Indian war, and on both sides in the Civil War. It gives one the knowledge that you must live up to that lineage, to honor those men.

    USS Boston (CAG 1)

    Armament: six 8-inch/55 caliber guns in two triple mounts, ten 5-inch/38 caliber guns in five twin mounts, eight 3-inch/50 caliber guns, two Mk-10 Terrier missile launchers

    Those 8"ers had a max range of 17 miles.
