Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.

Also could be a jig head weight thing, or a jig size thing. Yesterday I could only catch them on 1 1/4" baits. They wouldn't hit a 2" bait. The day before in the same spot, they'd eat anything you put in front of them.

They're crappie, they're finicky and I hate them, but I love them. LOL
This is very true. I'll never forget the day I learned that if you wait for the thump there is no telling how many fish you have missed. You have got to watch the line and you don't need a live scope to do it.

ive turned the radio on and started catching fish before.

The wind started blowing one time and the fish quit biting.

You have to be as creative as NHRA Pro Stock...if you do what the others do, youll catch what they catch.

Anything smaller, and it also includes smaller hook. But you can also still use the same hook, but just put a smaller plastic on it. You might even try some small flies.

The smallest bait I've ever used with any success is the Panfish Assassin Tiny Shad 1.5" ... followed closely by the Slabanator Mini Rod 1.75"

Bobby Garland Itty Bitty Swimmers. The largest hook that you can put in one is a #8 and a #10 would work better.

I made some small hand ties with 1/32 ounce jigs with #8 hooks and caught several fish with them shooting docks a couple weeks ago. As good as they hit the small baits I’m definitely going to start using them more often.

Is there any chance they weren't catching crappie, but were catching white bass? White bass, hybrids, and stripers are often caught deep by jigging slab spoons.

they were crappies, when i was drifting and not paying attention, we got close they were crappie, nothing big but were probably catching most on every cast and every other cast for sure.
