16" has been my best in KY. Didn't get it weighed but it sure is a heck of a surprise when you see crappie this size on the end of your line. Caught a few 15" as well.
There some lakes up north in which a 12 inch crappie is considered a slab.

16.5 has been my best.

It has been a while back. I've never seen a 3 lb crappie, As good as East Texas crappie fishing can be,
3 lbers are very rare.
good luck

3lb 3oz came from a boat house, Released her full of eggs spring time. After reading life expectency should have put her on the wall. A fish that big is in the last part of her life.
