    Can anyone tell me the spool diameter of the 1000 and 2500 size of the Daiwa Legalis LT reel.

    From what I understanding, 1000 is 40mm, 2000 is 42mm and 2500 is 45mm.

    Hi. Thank you for the info. It will help in deciding what size to match up to my panfish rods.

    Would this be a reel that you would prefer to catch crappie with or would you recommend another? I’m considering this as a possibility? Thanks

    Personally this is the reel model that I have decided to match for all my light and UL rods. For light SW I use Daiwa Feugos? and for heavier Daiwa BGs. These I consider the best value versus performance. There is a lot of nice reels out there. But these I think perform as good as $200 Shimanos and you don't need $400 reels for panfish.
