Very true. And the easiest way to make these is to have a very good friend who has a source of bamboo on his ranch and loves to fish!

take your chainsaw and bricks to the lake. Cut down shoreline trees and make your own. Natural to the area. Dont have to put trees in your boat.

I used to stop on the access road to a little lake and cut a wad of youpons. Tied it up and drug it out with a rope. once i got to my spot, I anchored the troller and tied on my brick and dropped it. No brush in the boat.

I don't cut down shoreline timber, but I do trim the lower limbs from the shoreline trees. I just load up cinder blocks and throw a roll of bailing wire and some cutters in the boat. It makes jig fishing the trees easier with the limbs trimmed and I sink the limbs for summer/winter patterns.
