Very nice! And yes, blade baits do work. I had one on during my last trip out, but it didn't produce for me. I have caught quite a few smallmouth bass and lake trout on those. Great lures.
A friend sent me a few of this since last year, haven’t tried it until today. Not bad caught about 5 and miss a few. The problem is treble hook get tangle a lot. I’m gonna switch to single hook next time around.

I always keep a few on hand, white bass, crappie & black bass love them.
I think those would work in my reservoir. Are you fishing it vertical or cast and retrieve?
Agreed, blade baits are great.
The old Silver Buddy models have a well proven track record.
I cast and retrieve, it is only 2.5 grams btw. I’m not sure if vertical would work. The treble hook always tangle with body or line.
This may work for you; either cut the bottom treble hook off or change to a double hook.
Yeah I did that yesterday. I have quite a few of inline hook but all of them are pretty big. I found a perfect size treble hook so I used that and cut 2 hooks from bottom off. The hook only 0.1 gram heavier so the action is still good. Next time I’ll try feather hook, I have various size of that too.

If you want to upgrade the hooking ability of a blade bait change out the trebles with twin assist hooks. Now these are not stinger hooks. This blade bait is out of Japan but is used mostly in Australia for bream. If you notice the hooks are offset....not same length. This greatly reduces hang ups on the bottom. The guy from Australia who turned me on to these told me if a fish sniffs it he is hooked. He is 100 percent correct. I have used these to catch white bass....and in doing so found out crappie like them also. The hooks are #8 in size and sharp as a needle. You can get them off of eBay......the Japanese hooks are the best but you can get the twin assist hooks off of Ali Baba also.

Blade baits are great for a big variety of fish. I love them in cold water. They are killer for eyes and trout. Small mouth and crappie will eat them too.
