Trust God, work the plan, and never let your guard down.
A few years ago I had an account on here (I forgot all the login info to it). I reached out for support for my drinking problem. I received a ton of support and I wanted to give an update. It didn't get better it just got worse. As of tomorrow, I will be two weeks clean. I dropped drinking cold turkey. I suffered only one day of withdrawals and from there it's been easy. I feel way better and even feel like I've lost weight. I did a serious disservice to my family during my drinking days. I know that this time I will be successful. Thank you to everyone that believed in me back then.

Trust God, work the plan, and never let your guard down.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Congrats for succeeding. May God give you the strength you need to stay straight. I bet you family is ever thankful.

today--8-17-20 is my sobriety date. 31 years clean and sober. AA is the best, that I know of, way to stay sober. Teaches you how to deal with life on life's terms.
will help with family and all issues. Spiritual. I learned how to get myself out of my way and develop a relationship with a higher power, God. If you can be honest with your self, open minded and willing to learn , it helps.
Try AA . It's free. No strings attached.
I would try it. But I'm not fond of being around people. I read my bible. I've reached out to a friend who is pastoring a church for counseling. Fishing and being with my son has really helped. I've set goals for myself. First one is my son and I are entering a bass fishing tournament next month. Alcohol stole my life and I'm here to take it back.
