That color is working well with me to. I just use a little different type of twister, but same looks.
Just wish they lasted longer. Mine get beat up after just a few fish and need replacing.

Yesterday we caught 16 in about 3 hrs mainly 13-15 FOW and the best bait was an org/chartruse tube. Went back this morning same places and this was the best bait after it was worked on as you can see. Had to cut off 3 rings in the front and doctor up the tail. Could get bite on a full size bait but no hook-ups. Don't know if its called a 3" or 4" twister tail. Got them at a salvage store, Hudson's. Might as well quit at 10, think we had 3 throw-backs and 1 keeper after the wind got up, east south east about 10 mph.

My Wife Fillets The Fish! I am a fortunate man.
On Toledo Bend lately the locals have been buying my Silver/Lt. Blue/White hackle tail jigs by the bunch.
Blue and white is a good color most likely in all waters.
Best part is you can catch way over 100 crappie on a single jig as long as you don't lose it!
blue-chart and purple-chart. been working well for us. squirrel (gray) with chart. flashaboo works well also.
I've been useing this color for the last month with good results. It's called an orange scalehead with a pumpingseed tail. I guess they think it's a small crawfish.

When use a twister tail like this, do you normally hang a minnow on it also? You just the twister tail?
I never use minnows, just don't like to mess with them, know there are some days when I would catch more fish but just don't use them. I'm sure a lot of folk do. Went back by Hudson's today and they had Kalin grubs at a quart bag for $1.99 so I picked up 2 more bags of twister tails, should die before I run out.Originally Posted by mroe

Hey guys.
Among all of the colors of grubs, tubes purchased recently. I got a bag
full of the Kalin "Tennessee Shad" color for crappie to use on Road Runners.
Has anybody had any luck using a the silver / grey curley tail combo to
catch'em?.
Rick.
