Default In need of advise about my boat....suggestions are welcome!

Have a 1987 Lowe Limited Edition Condor. Have always had inside but it has seen a lot of fishing. I repowered with the same brand of motor e-tec (90 hp), 9 years ago. Has close to 200 hrs on motor. Motor is in good shape but after years of fishing the seats, carpet and such need attention. Fuse panel was replaced about 10 years ago. It is a modified V bottom 18 1/2 ft long. After much thought I have decided to give this boat a major going over (if possible). Have a local guy who can do the seats (leather and such is his full time job. (Heigle's in Iola). I want someone who can go through and replace all the electrical wiring (would like to get a new dash if possible). Its been great for crappie fishing (stable and wide enough for 2 people to stand on the corners without tipping).

Really have no idea where to turn to but there surely are businesses out there that can do this type of work. Would rather spend the money and make this boat shine again instead of getting a new one. Own both a tiller and wheel house boat....if I was going to get a new one it would most definitely be a alumacraft competitor 205. But makes more sense to spend a few thousands and keep the one I have.

Even if I need to go to 2 or 3 different people (who specialize in certain areas of work) that would be fine too. Willing to drive a ways if I know someone who will do a good job and reasonable. Drove over 300 miles to get this boat, so a short trip is in the cards.

Any suggestions or advise would be appreciated....such a great boat for drifting and jigging for crappies.

    thanks!!

My old tackle bag had some straps that had dry rotted. Recently had decided to refurbish it, so I sold a relatively new Cabelas bag that was huge. I took the old bag to a cobbler, who replaced the straps and their attachments with leather. That should have been the original design. It looks great. What does this have to do with your boat? The older I have gotten I have developed a real sense of accomplishment every time I take something older and restore it. I've done it with British Land Rovers ( 1968-1973 models ), guns, and old boats, etc. You will have an old friend when you finish. Come to think of it, I believe my doctors feel the same sense of accomplishment when working with me !
