BBULBS12 bottom seat, with rear reel mount is my weapon of choice. I put a cheap crappie reel on for springtime and switch to a spinning reel in the wintertime for fishing deeper. I did buy several used fly reels at a flea market that I’m planning on trying also. I like the crappie reels in the spring because just pull out line by hand. Works great for me dipping around cypress trees and grass during the spawn.
