The knot is the weakest link,so that's where it should break.Fluoro has less knot strength than mono, I like Albright knot best, but the surgeon's knot is super easy to tie, but I don't know how strong it is.

That's overkill, you'll get a lot more distance with 6 lb braid.

Default Me again with another knot question - braid to fluoro?

Add 4-5 more wraps to the braid side of that uni knot.
    Try that...
Mono or mono flouro. You use the same number of wraps. When using on braid, You have to add more wraps to the braid side.

I just as a norm use the Uni-knot for attaching lines.

It happened to me yesterday with double uni knot. I normally use either 4lb copolymer Izorline or 6lb FC red label. Yesterday tried to connect FC to 6lb nanofil and 2 broke while pulling tight. I switch to 4lb Izorline and good to go. I think I was in such a hurry and didn’t clinch it slow enough. The heat from sharp braid can kill FC line with ease. I don’t have problem when do it slowly, 5 wraps on each with a lot of wet before pulling it tight.
