Since my time is limited I'm gonna go the 1st chance I get and just make adjustments to get those fish in the boat.... Morning, midday or evening.....I don't have the luxury to fish for them at night.....

Daylight till noon . Our 12 inch length rule with 15 Fish . There always seems to be a lull around mid day .

I normally start about 3 am and fish to 9 or 10 am. I target big crappie and a number of spots they move shallower at night and deeper during the day. I leave early due to people using the bent pole pattern.

That pattern seem to be spreading quite rapidly..... And not pointing a finger but it seems a lot of them have that ole high dollar fish finder on their tm......

Well I'm not sure about crappie, haven't been fishing them that long. But last year, my first, I found that the fish didn't start hitting well till late afternoon. 70 mi to the Res. I fish so early morning is pretty much out for me. But years ago I liked fishing for trout in stream's and river's. Mid day was pretty much a waste of time but let shadows hit the water and it was game on. Maybe not the shadow's but seem's in the late afternoon something does happen. Almost seem's the same to me with crappie. Get out there about noon and it's pretty slow but launch about 2pm and not long till the fishing get's a lot better!

Early morning for me on the fishing. Usually about 10AM the water lice start showing up and by 11AM you can't really fish anymore with the wake boats causing big waves that make the trolling motor come out of the water.

for me the morning bite is consistently better in summer if I can actually get up. Can't make it work during the workweek. I usually fish the evening bite more out of convenience
