New Duracell 31

Heads up, I purchased two new Duracell's from Sam's yesterday & one of them had no water in it. It was wet inside only. I had put them on the charger & they were not fully charged, so I was letting them charge & I could smell it cooking. One of them was made in May 2020 & the one with no water June 2020.

Take them back Get two that are the same date that are filled with acid and water.

Could be that the person filling them in the store had no clue what he or she was doing. They arrive on the truck at the store empty, and the staff in the store fills them as they are used and then add the in-service sticker. There's no telling when exactly the battery was actually manufactured.

Seems there is a battery shortage G. I checked another Sam's location & they hardly had any kind of battery, then checked Batteries Plus, no Duracell 31's. On a whime went to another Sam's & they had the 2 batteries that I bought.

Harold,,,buy some battery acid at advanced auto and use that only to fill,,,,no water
