Home - Easy Step System they are custom made to fit your specific trailer and your boat. Prices vary according to that. For my rig it was $350 and it fit perfect. It was well worth it to me. A lot cheaper than a trip to the ER and the pain and suffering etc from a fall at my age. Bolts right on no drilling or welding needed on trailer.

I like the use of the step ladder, you use Special K. Use to work for Werner Ladder, they also made one with 3 steps on it. Don't know if they still do though. Just an idea for those with taller boats.

I can't tell you how useful this little step ladder has been to me when doing all manner of maintenance tasks in and around my boat such as cleaning, vacuuming, working on tackle, not to mention how useful it is when prepping the boat for launch at the boat ramp (both) before and after a fishing outing. I highly recommend the use of one of these to anyone who has problems climbing up and down on their boat while on the trailer, whether it be the two or three step aluminum ladders. I have considered getting the three-step ladder, because the one I use is actually the one I bought for my wife for use around the house. They weigh next to nothing and are easily moveable to any location on the boat that needs your attention.

    Great thread.
I use this 18 inch folding step platform from Harbor Freight to get into and out of my PF16. About 30 bucks, but goes on sale quite often.Name: 66911_W3.jpg

You sir are the "Master of Gadgetry and Innovation." It's amazing to me that someone with the electrical engineering background that you have... hasn't fashioned some type of elevator system for raising and lowering you as needed. It looks like something like the ladder system you describe could be bought prefabbed, such as this: Stationary Dock Ladder. This thing is available in multiple lengths / steps. I know it's something that could also be made from treated wood, by a decent carpenter, since you're already renovating your dock.
