Small Boat Recommendation

Narrowed down my decision to 3 boats. It will be my "utility" boat for small lakes, rivers and watersheads. Will be powered by a 25hp mercury. If yall have any suggestions please let me know. What boat would you choose?

Just looked up the alumacraft Escape, looks like a very well built boat with a few more pre-installed options.

Alumacraft until a year or so ago was still privately held family boat mfg. They are now owned by a comglomorate. The fit and finish on the alumacraft was better than the Lund. Price wise the alumacraft is less expensive and in my opinion a better value. My current boat is a Lund alaskan 16' with 60 merc tiller. Does everything I want to do and then some. Deep V all the way for me. Tried the modified v's and they are just too ruff riding for me. Deep V will handle big waves, small waves, shallow or deep water. Good luck with your boat search.

The alumacraft comes in more expensive over the lund. Im looking more for quality and longevity over price, i do not mind paying more for a better boat. If you personally had choose, Lund or Alumacraft?

I had narrowed my choices down to either the Lund alaskan or at the time a alumacraft model called the outfitter, I think that was the model. Both had a flat floor without an elevated front platform. I probably would have bought the alumacraft had the dealer returned my phone calls. Instead went with the Lund. Overall my previous alumacraft had much better fit and finish over my previous Lund. Resale wise I think the Lund may hold an edge. Lund to aluminum is like Ranger is to fiberglass. Either brand would be a solid pick, you may narrow it down to just picking the dealer you want to work with or the one nearest to you. Alumacraft also has a "classic" series that looks real good.
