Tannic water there? Crappie look awful dark for mid January, not spawning I wouldn’t think.
Had another good day on the water with the wife. We only fished a couple hours and fought the wind the whole time. Managed 3 good size fish though lost a few jigs as was expected with the wind and the fallen tree we were fishing but all in all we had a good time.

Yes this particular spot is full of fallen trees and pine needle so the whole pond is tannic. Full of good size crappie though if you can figure out which tree top they’re in on a given day or even at a given hour lol
