amazon has one that I ordered. I'm going to buy a lawnmower 12v battery and use it for power. It's LED so doesn't draw many amps and should run all night.
I’ve been thinking about installing lights for night fishing on my boat. Recently I was at Lake Talquin and saw several boats with LED strips on the sides of their boats and they seemed to work pretty well. I’ve been thinking about something that would be portable. Have any of you used something like a light bar? Walmart has some pretty cheap and with a little fabrication of a mount they could be taken on and off. Just not sure if they may be too bright. Looking for opinions.
Thanks!

I googled submersible fishing lights and came up with a mess of ways to do them. Just a matter of getting everything, (available at home improvement stores). Had to order the LED's off of internet but were real inexpensive and was delivered in 3 days. I will be making up 2 tomorrow...

I don’t want to do the submersible type. I want them to shine on the water and light up lily pads etc.
Here is what I used from Amazon.

I should really stop reading these threads! Now I'm finding more things to put on the boat ! !
Make some kind of quick detach mount, for the link from littlejohn? Something like a floor flange, and screw it in? Or a floor flange with a set/thumb screw?

Won,t they draw in bug's?
For power, 12 volt sockets, strategically placed. Or, if you don't want it permanent, make up a "power strip". You could put these in, too plug the lights in. With the connections strategically placed.

Then, you could use it on either side of the boat.

The way I mount my lights I used the 1/2 bases for the driftmaster rod holders. I use the 1/2 threaded rods get the 3ft rods cut them for what height you want. I thread the rods in the bases used a flat aluminum flat piece that the rod goes through at the top with two lights on each rod. Wire the two lights each on the rods together and add a electrical cord male end to both set of lights.I will take a long electric cord with the female end. You can buy the cord that has three plugs on the end and on the other end will add battery clamps to hook up with a battery. After the night fishing is over with I will unscrew the rods from the bases be good until the next night trip.
