Default best way put hollow tubes on body?

Trying to put these hollow body tubes on the jig but it keeps tearing the tube. Do you just jam them on? I've tried wetting the jig but wonder if there a trick that I don't know? Thanks

I hate to say this but spit helps lube the tube jig and it slips on easier.

If your jig is too big for your tube, that would be your problem. What SuperDave posted. jmo Good Luck

Shows how dumb I am, I’ve been fighting with them from the bottom up. But then I use ball heads sometimes too.

I even use ball head collarless jig heads and leave the jig head outside in front of the tube body. Makes changing colors a whole lot faster. With a crappie nibble slide up the hook to the opening of the tube, under the tentacles it don't move unless a fish tugs on it and you miss the bit...

Interesting. I was doing it from the bottom. I'll give it a shot. Thanks

Not all tube jigs are the same. They make a fast load jig style which the lead is shaped for inserting like shown. Those are much easier but it can be done with regular style as well. I found that image doing a google search....image found on Crappie.com
