    Default “Quarantine Kitchen”

Well guys if there’s one thing the ole quarantined life has allowed it is definitely some cookin! I figured just for your viewing pleasure you could see a few images from the “quarantine kitchen” the past week or so. Enjoy! (Yes that’s a whole smoked deer leg pulled into bbq)

You and I had a couple same ideas.
I smoked ribs and a pork butte for pulled pork sammies. Also made some venison jerkey. Great minds kind of thing like they say.

Looks great BUT I don't see hardly anything there I can currently eat.

I've been on the Atkin's Diet for a month and counting calories a month prior to that. I've lost 24 pounds and now have an appreciation for all the carbs I was consuming every day. That said, I have been cooking bacon and eggs almost every morning, lots of green salads with eggs and low-cal dressing, air-fryer grilled crappie fillets, and a new favorite of my wife---BBQ Pork Rinds!

My Dr had ordered me to lose a considerable amount of weight for the sake of my right hip. I saw him this AM and got a big pat on my back (with a gloved hand). My pain is much less and I've cut my blood pressure med dosage in half. Hopefully by winter, I will be down 50 pounds or more to lessen the chance of problems when I have the hip replaced.
