    Default Priorities

I’m finally going to be able to get some crappie fishing in this weekend. My wife’s father suffers with Parkinson’s and dementia, and my mother also suffers from very poor health and dementia. The care of members from both sides of our family has been priority, but it looks like I’m able to get one free day to hound some crappie, fish on!

Good for you Yaker... not only for your dedication to family first... but for finally getting a well deserved opportunity to get out to re-energize. I was a primary caregiver for my mother when she became stricken with Alzheimer's Disease and I can relate to how brutally wearing this can be on all of the family members. I hope you have good luck on your fishing trip.

Hats off to you for your dedication. Will pray for your family. Enjoy the time on the water in God’s creation and stay safe.

I got to go fishing Monday,it took me a while to find the crappie, but it all worked out. I caught several, tossed most back, but did keep 10 nice crappie and 5 bonus gills. The highlight of the day was hooking a 6 lb channel cat,I took a nice kayak ride while he wore down enough to boat.
