Default Custom Travel Cover Info\Opinions please

I'm in need of a new travel cover for my Lund 1775 ProV double bubble. I'm thinking of going the custom route as they seem to get 10 years or so of life where as the off the shelf ones seem to only last a couple year for a half to a third the cost.(anecdotally of course)

I'm curious as to peoples experience with Topgun, Aqualon, or other materials. I must such at searching as most of the discussion I find are years old....

Also interested in hearing opinions and pros\cons as to snap on or tie-down covers?

The guys I talk to use the same arguments for the style they make and say the other way is crap and they used to do it the other way but kept getting sued. (I have heard this exact line from 3 different companies that make custom covers this week)

So...I'm looking for real world opinions from people who use them, not make them

    Use Case:

    • 1775 Lund Pro V
      • Double bubble windshields removed after every use
      • Bow Mount Trolling motor removed after every use
      • No Wave Wackers

    • No lake place so it lives on the trailer unless i am using it.
    • Stored outdoors in the summer, indoor storage in the winter.
    • Normally launching and landing by myself
      • Mid 40's guy in decent health

Thank for for any input you can offer and stay safe!

snap down = ng for trailering

I usually do a ratcheting belly band with multiple tie downs either to trailer or under hull side-to-side.
Fabric doubled at hard pints (cleats, tm, aft corners, etc...)
As many tent poles as necessary; also re-enforced.

Use heavier material; Sunbrella+, or at leas 11.5oz/yd ...pvc18 (or the like) is BOMBPROOF (but make for a heavy cover)

    I'm a marine canvas fabricator

Carver Styled-to-Fit Boat Covers for the BASS MASTER CRAPPIE MASTER 17 (88-01)

try this place out, a little high but in my opinion well worth it . They have all types and materials. I got one from them for a 1989 crappie master and it's about as close a fit as a custom cover would be
