Some of the fish want to spawn , some not so much . Every year there seems to be entities that try to say one water temperature or moon phase or weather situation or even actual date is the deciding factor or factors .
I am not sure what the "magic" combination is myself and it seems to vary greatly from water body to water body and region to region .
Some say the water is to muddy and high and yet others say a drought situation is to blame .
Are the factual guidelines in play is the question ? In most cases I think not really to a degree that can tell you when and where to be at what time .
The variables that drive it seem to be ever so slight in some cases and little things that seem inconsequential seem to have serious consequences .
I hear stories about fish being up in spots and go visit and find NO fish , I hear stories about fish not being up in other spots and find herds .
One day its ridiculous good and the next only 2 short fish in the same exact spot and the same time of day with little or no noticeable changes in anything.
The spawn and wants to spawn create a hero or 2 every year and also frustrate many anglers that think they are about to ketch bertha .
Keep this part in mind as you travel about in your searches for them this time of year .
They do what they want when they want and even if it seems like it might not be the day to go, you might go just because you can , they might really surprise you .
Breaking the rules is what they do ….sling them guns I say
the wants to spawn is in the air
KABOOM is the word
