Guess I am fortunate in the battery department. I can buy refurbed Interstate batteries through work for $45 each!!
Just bought 3 group 31's today.
They are practically brand new batteries, new case (black), new plates and new studs. Just no stickers on them.

I just got my new Sam's Club booklet. They are offering $20 off all of their Duracell marine batteries. Sale runs Feb. 26th through March 22nd.

I own a couple of NAPA stores and we can get the AGM, Optima, NAPA Industrial group 31s. When looking at batteries check the warranty. It differs on the different models. NAPA Batteries are one of the largest lines NAPA sells in most stores. You are almost assured a fresh batteries as they are ordered frequently. My stores are serviced by East Penn Manufacturing in East Penn PA.

Not knocking the other battery people at all but do have specific information on the NAPA Brand. With the price of lead surging batteries continue to increase in cost. Warranty is what the big difference is when buying batteries regardless of the brand.

12 month warranty on most flooded cell batteries I've looked at. Is NAPA warranty better?
I bought two Duracell yesterday Sam's.

Reserve capacity (RC) and/ or Amp hours (AH) ratings are of most importance for deep cycle discharge applications such as trolling.

I too run the Duracell Group 31 deep cycle and MinnKota charger. Both have worked great.

Haven't asked at Sam's, but Costco will refund the difference if something goes on sale within 7 days. I would ask.

That's great. The savings paid for part of your membership fees.
Will be buying 2 AGMs from them in the next week or so.
