So how do you plan on recieving payment are you going to use something like paypal. and one other thing is go to the post office and see how much it will cost to send some that way you can advertise it also. If you put out a good quality lure I wouldnt mind paying a good price for them. So are you going to tie different size and colored jigs? If you plan on getting your own site there are many different types of jigs you can tie just to give you that extra reach on other types of fisherman. Stealhead jigs go for a fair price up in washington, just a thought to help once you start marketing them.

Remember the more you do the faster you will get. It will not happen over night, but when I started it was everything I could do to tie 10 regular jigs an hour even the same colors. Now if I am tying regular jigs the same color I can probably do at least 25 an hour of quality jigs that will not come apart. The paint will get eaten off the head and they will still be catching fish. Catching 100 fish in nothing if you don't hang it up and lose it. I can do all this for .75-.85 each jig. If they get more fancy then i have to add a little for more expensive materials.

I even pay more for the Sickle hooks than I do Eagle Claw. I don't have to use Sickle, but I do because I like them.

    Hope this helps,

Here is what I saw - Guess I need some sleep. There is no doubt skip that your jigs are the best I've ever seen. I just like lookin at them. Some of them should be behind glass.

My glow body jigs are not even $2 each as they are $1.50 and take way more time than any hair jig.

I see a lot of hand tied jig for under a buck and if you look at the cheaper made ones on ebay they almost give them away. I can't imagine being able to sell any jigs for that much unless it's for Bass fishing and they will buy things at a higher price. Crappie fishermen are not going to pay $2 a jig?

Oh and one more thing I would put the quality of my jigs up against any had tied jig for value and quality.

Looks good! I want to start tying my own jigs too. Thinking about investing into it! I got injured in Iraq and disabled from working, so now I'm a full time fisher. Anyone with suggestions please feel free to post on the IL state board on any of my posts. Thamks a lot!

That's something to shoot for, for sure. I'm getting 156 1/16th roundhead jigs, 120 1/32nd, and 60 1/8th(since I have a mold) to start with. Should be here by Wednesday or Thursday.

Paypal, and I'll have a page on my site that you can print out or just write on a sheet of paper and send with a money order or check or something. How's that sound?
