While sitting in my truck launch 2 drones - 1 drone lowers livescope and the other drone drops a jig, thump!! And then flys the slab back to me and drops it in a bucket in my truck bed. Eventually will have drone/slab tournaments.

To be honest I kind of like finding fish with a normal fish finder or not use one at all, been catching fish for 50 yrs with/without one and can normally limit out if I feel the need to.
While technology is great I think it takes some of the fun/challenge out of fishing and hunting as far as that goes.

That was exactly how i felt. Then my curiosity got me. I bought the livescope learned to use it and il never be without one ever again. Livescope was the very first modern sounder technology that i put on my boat and i bought it new in 2011. Never had any on my prior boats either. Simply put. For me personally , who never had any issue of catching fish, finds it simply amazing.

I bought the boat in 2011. The livescope in jan 2019. I can see where my wording would lead to that deduction.

Saw a documentary where native fishermen used a fishing bird like a Commorant with a string tied to his foot to catch fish. They had a string around the bird's neck that prevented him swallowing the fish.
