Nice catch and nice hat.
Is quite often hard to come by . In todays world its a fleeting moment most of the time . In the world of a person ketchn fish it might not even exist at all .
So before it becomes extinct and only a fairy tale told to children at bedtime let me tell the "truth" one more time to start off 2020 with a KABOOM .
I like to give away fishing related stuff sometimes as it makes me feel good to gift stuff to others and at the same time much of it is gifted to me . But sometimes I gift things that were not free just because once again it warms my soul to be generous when possible.
I been looking for some decent no logo ball caps at the right price in a number of a few . I never found them in numbers but I did run across 3 at a run off with them price . My next step in the process was to find a "KABOOM" I liked to have embroidered on them as I think it will last a while longer than some of the other ways they letter them .
Well it was complicated and the "KABOOM" I wanted cost an extra 30 bucks to be digitized or some kind of bla bla bla thing , so I had to settle for what they could generate at the store. The embroidery part was 10 a cap and the caps were had for under 5 each . I got the velcro strap on the back types as they seem more durable as well and the caps are in a pretty cool looking "digital" sort of camo .
And so it begins , they came out pretty nice for a first try I think and I just had to try one to see if they were the "lucky" type of ball cap we all need if you get my drift . So a day after they hit my hand I took one and slapped it on my head and went off to the lake .
I want to tell you all quite truthfully I got THUMPED first drop by a nice 11 inch plus crappie by golly !
So they seem to be off to a good start and now I will proceed to give away 2 of the 3 to places I socialize on the net . One spot in particular I am quite fond of is HERE ,so for sure stay tuned as they are VERY limited editions and I know not when it might take place again .
The fish bit so so that day and after 25 or so I called it quits , I used an Arkie bait and another that was gifted to me .When they stopped on the chart I switched over to the natural for a finishing touch .Never found a big crappie this trip but a few were keepers and I didn't ketch any other species .
A lot of the fish just held the bait ,but a few laid hammer down ,it wasn't the best of outings but it for sure was memorable . Heck I even got to try a new SUPER secret jig tipper Ed got in and by GOLLY first drop I got THUMPED in a spot I wasn't getting bit in for a while .But that's another story for some other time .
stay tuned and for sure KABOOM is the word yawl
