I know some guys use theirs in less than 6 FOW but I can't really get it dialed in yet for that.

Was that with Active Captain or a saved photo on your LS? My LS head unit has the mini sd cards in the back so it is not easy to pull the card and transfer still photos so I use Active Captain on my iPhone. It produces video that I cannot share here but helps me review and study the noteworthy videos. Great pic in any case. Did you dockshoot or could you reach them in a different manner?

That image is a screenshot saved to the card by holding "HOME". I use a free photo editor to convert the PNG file to JPG for web posts (makes file smaller). I only ever use AC for updating the unit. This is a Em Ultra 10" model without transducer 102sv. On this head I only have LS and also 2D sonar with the US2 sensor in the trolling motor - actually is very good IMO, and I use it for drop-shot on bass sometimes because of the wider cone - when I bass fish, which is rare these days.

That particular dock had a lot of fish hanging out the front of it and a garage-style door that I could shoot under. Pretty easy to get to the fish compared to a lot of docks on my home lake (Lanier GA). Some of them are snag fests.

When I see fish like that stacked under a dock I almost feel bad about catching them, lol.
    Well, not really!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Speaking of confirming things these crappie do, long before livescope Ketchum and myself always talked about a lot of the myths that's come down the pipe from tv gurus, some of the big named guides and others about crappie..... We've always had a good laugh at how fast it travels and how well most remember them....I won't name off any of the myths in this post to not make anyone feel I'm stepping on anyone's ft but I will advise especially the new guys to crappie fishing to have a open mind and be willing to make changes and find your own opinion as it will definitely help you catch more and better fish......A lot of times to catch these fish remember what was was and what is is.....
